When working in wet environments, use Bridgeport's 430-SLTI 1/2" Liquid Tight Insulated Straight Connectors to join metallic liquid tight conduit to an electrical box or enclosure. SLTI connectors offer both the superior strength of steel and the excellent corrosion resistance of zinc in harsh environments. Their insulated throat protects inner wiring from abrasion and is rated up to a temperature of 105℃. To install, simply slide the compression nut and inner sealing ring over the metallic conduit before threading the ferrule directly into the conduit channel. At that point, insert the conduit into the connector, retighten the compression nut to secure the conduit in place and then join the fitting to a box knockout using the provided locknut. Fitted with NPT threads, a knockout gasket and internal sealing ring, these connectors ensure a liquid tight connection between the conduit and electrical box or enclosure. Bridgeport liquid tight insulated straight connectors are available in trade sizes 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1". All are UL-Listed under File No. E9391, NEMA TYPE 2, 3, 3R, 4 and 12, and meet the NEC requirements for use in wet locations.
